This weekend we have an amazing and rare opportunity to show off all the hard work we have been putting into this awesome sport! Take pride in your team, your school, and ultimate by inviting out your friends and family to come out and watch you kick some ass this weekend!
Here is the message I sent out this morning to 28 of my friends, feel free to use it as a template.
Hey!
I have an Ultimate Frisbee tournament at my school this weekend! I am the president of the club, one of the captains of the team this year, and I play on the “Nightlife A team”. I would love it if you could make it out to a game or two to support me and my team as we compete against other universities from all over the great state of California and even Arizona.
Our games on Saturday will be:
9:00am – Cal State Fullerton
10:30am – UC San Diego (B)
12:00pm – Occidental
Depending on how well we compete against these school will determine our placement in the tournament for Sunday.

We have been noticing a lack of intensity and respect for the club. As of now, you need to notify Tyler, Evan, Kg and I with an e-mail AT LEAST 2 DAYS BEFORE the missed practice, AND you need to call either Tyler or myself. Everyone is taking classes, so studying and homework are not valid excuses. If you fail to let us know in time, play time will be deducted and given to those who put the team first. Evan and KG are both volunteering their time to coach us, lets respect them and show up to practice (most coaches get paid!).
Plan next quarter’s classes and work hours around practice, we have the exact same practice schedule next quarter as we do now: Monday 6-9, Tuesday track 6-8, Weds B-team 6-8 (team vote awaiting 6-9 pm), and Thursday A-team 6-9.
Lastly, as many of you know, both the A and B team (not combined) are playing in Irvine invite this weekend. As this is not an away tournament, we expect everybody to come out and represent our home turf. Sign up ASAP, you need to e-mail us all and also call Tyler or myself if you cannot come.
